Josh Nimoy is a young artist working in new media, with an interest in electronic engineering. He created an interactive art piece called BallDroppings and some robotic typography 2003. He is the creator of Myron, an open source computer vision system. These days he works in Los Angeles as a motion graphics programmer at Motion Theory, runs a laser cutting business, has a band with his brother, supports James Clar, and negotiates independent contracting work. Josh has a BA from UCLA department of Design | Media Arts and a masters degree from NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). Because his technical skills are born from creative or content-driven needs, Nimoy's process/technical counseling has gained value even in non-creative situations that simply call for a new conceptual approach to technology research. Josh and his experiments have shown in Pong Mythos (Germany), FACT (England), and the Whitney Biennial(New York).
